Personalized Coach gives you a dedicated AI coach you can chat with, get practice recommendations from, and configure to match your style.

Getting started

The first time you open your coach, Replay walks you through a short setup:
1

Watch the intro video

A quick overview of how coaching works in Replay.
2

Create your coach persona

Give your coach a name and image. This is who you’ll be chatting with.
3

Set up communication

Verify your email or phone number so your coach can reach you outside of Replay.
4

Start chatting

Your first conversation opens automatically. You’re all set.
To access your coach after setup, click the coach avatar button in the header of the coach area.

Chatting with your coach

Your coach keeps separate conversation threads so you can organize topics.
  • Start a new thread when you want to talk about something different
  • Get practice suggestions — your coach recommends specific roleplays, rapid fire drills, or other activities based on your performance
  • Jump into practice directly from a suggestion — links take you straight to the activity

Coach settings

Open settings from the chat header to manage how your coach works.
Update your coach’s name and image at any time. Your coach’s identity stays consistent across chat and outreach messages.
  • Add or change your verified email address
  • Add or change your verified phone number
  • Choose which channels your coach can use to reach you
Your coach can send you messages proactively — practice reminders, tips, or check-ins. You control how often:
  • Set a daily limit for how many proactive messages your coach can send
  • Set it to 0 to turn proactive outreach off entirely
  • Messages you send or explicitly request don’t count toward this limit
