Monologue is a speaking practice activity where you respond to a customer prompt in your own words. An AI persona delivers a question or scenario, you record your response, and Replay scores it against a scorecard.

How it works

1

Hear the prompt

An AI persona delivers a conversation starter — a customer question or scenario you need to respond to.
2

Record your response

Recording starts automatically after the prompt finishes. Deliver your response naturally, as if you were on a real call.
3

Get scored

Replay evaluates your response against each criterion on the scorecard, giving you a detailed breakdown.

When to use it

Elevator pitches

Practice delivering your value prop concisely and confidently

Objection responses

Record your best response to a specific customer pushback

Product positioning

Practice explaining features, pricing, or competitive advantages

Discovery questions

Practice how you’d open a discovery call or respond to a customer’s initial question
Monologue is different from a roleplay — there’s no back-and-forth conversation. You hear one prompt and give one response. This makes it faster and more focused for drilling specific talking points.

Tips

  • Keep it focused. Monologues work best for practicing specific responses — a 30-second pitch, not a 10-minute presentation.
  • Repeat and compare. Run the same monologue multiple times and compare your scores to see improvement.
  • Pair with lessons. Review the material in a lesson first, then test your delivery with a monologue.
